Description The Book of Kells. Ireland’s illuminated manuscript treasure, created between the 6th and 8th centuries. In the Book of Kells many animals were depicted, each having it’s own symbolism. The peacocks were thought to represent immortality. The design features motif of two peacocks facing each other.
